Quizlet: A Free Resource for Flashcards & Learning Tools
Years ago I first started using Quizlet with my students when my classroom had 1:1 iPad's. However, this great app is not just available on a phone or tablet. It is available FREE on the web as well. Over the years it has expanded it's offering to more than just Flashcards. Quizlet also provides a variety of learning activities to help students master the content they are studying. Modes include: Learning, Flashcards, Test, Spelling, Writing, Matching, and even a game called Gravity.
Teachers can create their own flashcards unique to their particular unit of study, or use one of the other thousands of already created flashcards sets in the library. There are even flashcard sets with diagrams, languages, formulas, etc. It's amazing.
If you choose to assign your students a set of flashcards, just create a class, and share the link of your set with your students. It's Free! It's easy to use! AND It's a great way to help your students learn a huge variety of subject matter.
